What the app asks for, and why
We ask for these permissions when they are needed. You can turn them off in your phone’s settings, though some features, deals and the app may stop working.
| Location, always | Have your order ready when you arrive, show nearby restaurants, and measure how often you pass a Burger Shot without stopping. |
|---|---|
| Contacts | Help you send deals to friends. We may also send deals to your friends. |
| Microphone | Improve voice ordering at the drive-thru. The app may listen for Burger Shot advertising on TV and radio to award bonus Shots. |
| Motion and fitness | Recommend menu items based on your activity. Guests who walked more than 8,000 steps see the Heart Stopper first. |
| Photos | Let you add a profile photo. Photos may be reviewed to improve our image recognition. |
| Bluetooth | Detect when you enter a restaurant, a competitor’s restaurant, or a gym. |
Data collected by the app may be shared with our advertising and analytics partners, including Lifeinvader, and with insurers, lenders and others where the law allows. See our Privacy Notice.
